I come back from a long day of work every day, and it’s exhausting—meetings, workload, and dealing with people all day long.
When I get home, I can’t always think about eating clean and healthy. I just crave comfort foods that make me happy.
And I’m not saying these comfort foods are unhealthy, but let’s be real—it’s impossible for me to sit down with a salad topped with chicken breast, nuts, and olive oil. That is not comfort food to me.
When I’m mentally drained, all I can think about are carbs, cheese, and fatty meats like pepperoni, sausages, chicken wings, thighs, or a juicy burger. You know what I mean.
It’s dinner time, and I believe I deserve to treat myself. You deserve to treat yourself too after a long, hard day of work. It’s okay—go ahead and whip up a delicious, comforting meal.
My favorites include lasagna, casseroles, or even a simple plate of spaghetti and meatballs with some broccoli on the side so I don’t feel so bad. Gotta sneak in those veggies, right?
Anyway, there are so many types of comfort foods you can choose from, and I’ve gathered some amazing recipes for you to try.
I highly recommend meal prepping so you don’t have to cook from scratch when you’re already tired.
Who needs that after a long day, right?
I hope you enjoy these delicious, scrumptious, and satisfying meals.
They’re sure to make your tummy happy!
