Oh, it’s that time of the year again!

Yes, cake time.

Why do I say cake time for me this year?

Well, I don’t really eat a lot of cake throughout the year unless it’s a really special holiday, and Christmas fits in perfectly.

I usually feel guilty stuffing my face with cake, but not when it’s during Christmas.

Christmas feels like my guilt-free ticket to eat as much cake as I want, and it’s the only time I can indulge and crave all the sugar I like. Haha!

And I won’t even feel bad about gaining some pounds after the holiday because I deserve it, and we all do.

There are so many types of cakes you can bake during Christmas. Speaking of that, I love the combination of mint and chocolate—it feels so Christmas-like.

You can even enjoy it with a cup of hot cocoa with mint or peppermint, and maybe even some warm cookies. Not to mention, another great flavor is gingerbread.

All my other favorites include dark chocolate, raspberry, and plain vanilla.

There are so many different cakes to play around with during Christmas, and it’s okay to try them all at this time of the year.

It’s fun to decorate cakes with the kids, using any theme you want—from the Grinch to Frosty the Snowman, or characters like Santa, reindeer, and elves—whatever you can think of.
