There may not be a need to consume a high amount of whey protein powder just to maximize your protein intake, but if you are into bodybuilding, then you might. Chances are, most of us average joes do not need a bodybuilder’s body. We just want to be lean with some muscle, and that is perfectly okay. With the right protein choices each day, we can achieve that.
I have so many favorite foods that I love, and there is no need to eat bland meals. I mean, there is chicken, beef, salmon, shrimp. Honestly, all types of meat and seafood are loaded with great protein. You can also get protein from nuts, seeds, eggs, beans, and more.
One of my favorite recipes to make, without trying to increase protein because it naturally comes with it, is coconut curry with chickpeas, chicken, and rice. You might think it is unhealthy, but that is far from the truth because healthy versions do exist. On top of that, it is not bad to consume higher fats as long as they are healthy fats, so do not be afraid of good fats.
Aside from that, I also love the good old classic broccoli and chicken with beans and rice. I enjoy it in jerk chicken style or plain Western style on days when I want a break from bold flavors. What I love about meat is how easily it can be swapped for beef, turkey, or fish.
